Our Distinctive EAL Programme
Our English as an Additional Language Programmes (EAL) are designed to enhance student's engagement in their normal classroom lessons.
We are aware that every student's learning needs are different and our EAL classes concentrate on strengthening specific competencies in which they may require improvement.
At SIH we carry out EAL classes in small groups or with individual tutoring if required, with particular emphasis on areas that require immediate attention. Assessments are carried out throughout the process to ensure students are achieving their full potential.
Core skills taught in our EAL classroom are English Reading, Writing, Language Development and Listening Skills. These skills are focused in preparing the students for all English language challenges that they will meet in the years to come.
Whatever their various backgrounds, EAL students share a common and 'distinctive task' which is to 'catch up' with their peers whilst simultaneously studying the International Curriculum content, skills and concepts. Our EAL programme fills this gap and ensures your student is being provided with the best education possible.
